It still has to sound like you

The fastest way to make a good tool useless is to make everything it touches sound like a press release. Sonic is a line editor, not a ghostwriter. It fixes what you'd fix and leaves the rest alone.

Banned on principle

No em dashes. No "delve", "leverage", "unlock", "seamless". No hashtags, no emoji you didn't use, no "thoughts?" bolted onto the end.

Learns your voice

It reads your own recent posts before editing, so your rhythm, your lowercase, your fragments survive the trip.

Your words are the fallback

If the model is down or you don't like the edit, one keystroke restores exactly what you said, and it's still publishable.

What it deliberately doesn't do

Every one of these would add a decision to a thirty-second interaction whose whole value is that it doesn't ask you to make any.
